LEIMER Tempura Batter

apples
50 ml
lemon juice
1 tsp
cinnamon
300 ml
milk
clarified butter or sunflower oil
powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation

  • Pour lemon juice into a bowl.
  • Peel the apples, remove the cores, cut into 8-10 mm thick rings, dip in lemon juice and drain.
  • Whisk the batter, cinnamon and milk until smooth and leave to stand for 5 minutes.
  • Heat plenty of clarified butter or oil (approx. 1-1½ cm deep) in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Dip the apple rings in the batter, allow to drain slightly, and fry in the pan until golden brown on both sides.
  • Drain on paper towels.
  • Arrange on plates and dust with powdered sugar.
